Privacy Policy
Aptos Prep ("Aptos Prep," "we," "us," or "our") operates online test-preparation games and services (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
By using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Who we are

2. Who can use the Service
The Service is intended only for individuals 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has provided us information, contact info@aptos-prep.com and we will delete it.
3. Information we collect
a. Information you give us
- Account information: your name, email address, and phone number.
- Google sign-in: if you sign in with Google, we receive basic profile information (such as your name and email) from your Google account through Google's authentication service. We do not receive your Google password.
- Payment information: if you purchase a subscription, our payment processor (Stripe) collects and processes your payment details. We do not store your full card number. See Section 6.
- Anything else you submit: including practice answers, responses, and other content you enter while using the Service.
b. Information we collect automatically
- Gameplay and usage data: profiles, scores, progress, practice performance, in-game activity, and click/interaction data.
- Device and technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, and similar data generated when you access the Service.
- Cookies and similar technologies: see Section 4.
4. Cookies
We use first-party cookies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and operate the Service. We also use third-party advertising and analytics cookies and pixels — including from Meta, Google, and TikTok — to promote Aptos Prep, understand how people find us, and measure the performance of our advertising campaigns. These third parties may set their own cookies and receive certain information about your device and activity. You can control cookies through your browser settings and opt out of advertising cookies as described in Section 11 ("Your advertising choices"). Some features may not work without cookies.
5. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- create and manage your account and authenticate sign-in;
- provide, operate, and improve the Service, including saving your progress and scores;
- grade practice answers, which involves sending your submitted responses to third-party artificial-intelligence providers (see Section 7);
- process subscriptions and payments;
- market and advertise Aptos Prep, including running promotions and referral offers and measuring the effectiveness of our advertising;
- send you service-related and, where you have not opted out, marketing communications;
- protect the security and integrity of the Service and enforce our Terms & Conditions;
- comply with legal obligations.
6. Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. When you subscribe, you provide your payment details directly to Stripe, and Stripe processes them under its own privacy policy and security standards. We do not store your full payment card details on our systems.
7. Artificial-intelligence grading
To grade practice answers and provide feedback, we send the content you submit to third-party AI service providers, including Anthropic. These providers process your submissions to generate results and return them to us. We share only what is needed to perform grading. We do not use these providers to sell your information.
8. How we share information
We share information in these situations:
- Advertising and analytics partners. To promote Aptos Prep and measure our advertising, we use advertising and analytics services — including Meta, Google, and TikTok. Through cookies and pixels on our site, these partners may receive online identifiers, device and browser information, and information about your activity (such as pages you visit or whether you sign up). They may use this to show you our ads on other platforms and to measure how our campaigns perform. We do not sell your personal information for money. However, because we use these advertising technologies, our sharing of data with these partners may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under some laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act. You can opt out — see Section 11 ("Your advertising choices").
- Service providers (subprocessors) who help us run the Service, under contracts that limit their use of your data:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and backend infrastructure (stores your account and gameplay data);
- Cloudflare — website hosting and content delivery;
- Google — sign-in / authentication;
- Stripe — payment processing;
- Anthropic (and other AI providers we may use) — grading of practice answers.
- Legal and safety — when required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Aptos Prep, our users, or others.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
9. Where your information is processed
Aptos Prep operates in the United States, and our service providers store and process data in the United States. The Service is directed to users in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States (for example, the United Kingdom or China), you do so on your own initiative and understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those of your country.
10. How long we keep your information
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active and until you request deletion. To request deletion, email info@aptos-prep.com. We may retain limited information after deletion where required for legal, accounting, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.
11. Your rights and choices
You can:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- correct inaccurate information;
- delete your account and personal information.
To exercise any of these, email info@aptos-prep.com. We will verify your request and respond as required by applicable law.
Marketing emails: every marketing email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. You may also email info@aptos-prep.com to opt out. We will still send you essential service messages (for example, billing or security notices).
Your advertising choices. Because we use third-party advertising cookies and pixels (see Sections 4 and 8), you can limit advertising-related tracking by:
- adjusting your browser's cookie settings or using a private/incognito window;
- using a browser or extension that sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, which we treat as a request to opt out of the "sale"/"sharing" of your personal information for advertising;
- opting out through the advertising platforms directly (for example, your Meta, Google, and TikTok ad settings) and industry tools such as the Digital Advertising Alliance (optout.aboutads.info) and the Network Advertising Initiative (optout.networkadvertising.org); or
- emailing info@aptos-prep.com and asking us to opt you out.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to access and delete it, to correct it, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. You also have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information. As described in Section 8, we do not sell your information for money, but our use of advertising cookies and pixels may qualify as a "sale" or "sharing" under California law. To opt out, use any of the methods under "Your advertising choices" above or email info@aptos-prep.com. Submit access, correction, and deletion requests to info@aptos-prep.com.
UK/EU users (GDPR): where GDPR applies, you also have rights to object to or restrict processing, to data portability, and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Our lawful bases for processing include performance of our contract with you, your consent, and our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service.
12. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect your information. Access to customer data is limited to authorized personnel. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and any regulators as required by law.
13. Third-party links and services
The Service may link to or rely on third-party services (such as Google and Stripe). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and we are not responsible for them.
14. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
