Terms and Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Aptos Prep, a Delaware corporation ("Aptos Prep," "we," "us," or "our"), governing your use of our test-preparation games, websites, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using it, you represent that you are 18 or older and able to enter into a binding contract.

2. The Service

Aptos Prep provides online test-preparation games, practice materials, and related features. The Service is under active development and offered on a beta / "as-is" basis. The Service is freemium: some features (including Game Night) are available for free, and a paid subscription unlocks access to all features. We may change, add, or remove features, and change what is free versus paid, at any time.

3. Your account

  • You must provide accurate information and keep it current.
  • You are responsible for your account and for all activity under it, and for keeping your login credentials secure.
  • One account per person. You may not share your account or your access with anyone else.
  • Notify us at info@aptos-prep.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

4. Subscriptions, billing, and refunds

  • A paid subscription unlocks all features and is billed on a recurring basis through our payment processor, Stripe.
  • Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period, and your payment method is charged automatically, until you cancel.
  • One-click cancellation. You may cancel at any time — either from within the app or by using the cancellation link in your subscription confirmation email. Cancellation stops future renewals; it takes effect at the end of the billing period you have already paid for, and your paid access continues until then. When your subscription ends, your account returns to the free tier.
  • Refunds: you may request a refund within two (2) days of a charge by emailing info@aptos-prep.com. Except for that window and except as required by law, charges are non-refundable, and we do not provide partial or prorated refunds for the unused portion of a billing period.
  • We may change our prices and plans. We will give notice of changes to recurring prices before they take effect, and the new price applies to your next renewal.
  • You are responsible for any applicable taxes.

Promotions, discounts, and referrals. From time to time we offer discount codes, promotional offers, and a referral program (for example, refer a friend and receive one week of free access when they join). These offers are optional, may have additional terms, have no cash value, cannot be combined unless we say so, and may be changed, limited, or ended at any time. You may not abuse, resell, or fraudulently use codes or referrals, and we may revoke rewards obtained through abuse. Promotional communications are sent by email only, and every marketing email includes a one-click unsubscribe link.

5. Acceptable use

You agree that you will not:

  • cheat, exploit, or manipulate the Service, scores, or grading;
  • share your account or let anyone else use your access;
  • copy, scrape, harvest, resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit any part of the Service or its content;
  • reproduce, discuss, or share LSAC or LSAT® examination materials or other protected exam content within the Service;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to access the Service's source code or underlying systems except as permitted by law;
  • upload malware, attempt to breach security, or disrupt or overload the Service;
  • use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation;
  • infringe the intellectual property or other rights of Aptos Prep or any third party.

You are solely responsible for your own conduct. If you break the law while using the Service, that is your responsibility, not ours.

6. Enforcement and termination

We may suspend or terminate your account and access on a first violation of these Terms, at our discretion and without prior notice or refund. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time by emailing info@aptos-prep.com.

7. Intellectual property

All content, software, games, text, graphics, artwork, and materials in the Service are owned by Aptos Prep or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial test preparation only. You may not copy, distribute, share, or create derivative works from our content. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

8. Your submissions

You retain ownership of the content you submit (such as practice answers). By submitting it, you grant Aptos Prep a license to store, process, and use that content to operate and improve the Service — including sending it to third-party AI providers for grading, as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for the content you submit and represent that you have the right to submit it.

9. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party services, including Stripe (payments), Google (sign-in), Supabase and Cloudflare (infrastructure), and third-party AI providers (grading). Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.

10. No guarantees; disclaimers

  • No score or outcome guarantee. We do not guarantee any particular test score, score improvement, admission result, or other outcome. The Service is for educational and practice purposes only.
  • Grading, feedback, and results are generated in part by automated systems and may contain errors. They are not a substitute for official testing or professional advice.
  • THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

11. Not affiliated with LSAC

Aptos Prep is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Law School Admission Council ("LSAC"). LSAT® is a registered trademark of LSAC. References to the LSAT are for identification and descriptive purposes only.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aptos Prep and its officers, directors, and personnel will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars ($100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Aptos Prep from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or any law.

14. Dispute resolution — arbitration and class-action waiver

Please read this section carefully. It affects your legal rights.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its applicable rules, seated in Delaware. Judgment on the award may be entered in any court with jurisdiction.

Class-action waiver: you and Aptos Prep agree that disputes will be brought only in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective, or representative proceeding. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims.

Either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court if it qualifies. To the extent any dispute is not subject to arbitration, it will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

17. General

  • Entire agreement: these Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Aptos Prep regarding the Service.
  • Severability: if any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
  • No waiver: our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
  • Assignment: you may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
